hi!
i'm glad to hear that you want to learn about Chinese traditional festivals. It's very honorable for me to introduce them to you, my friend.
Let's start with the Lantern. The Festival of Lanterns takes place at the end of the Chinese New Year Celebration, on the fifteenth day of the first moon. On that day, people, especially children, will walk around with a lantern in hand. And they'll have Tong Yuen as a sweet snack. The round shape of Tong Yuen is a symbol of gathering.
And here it comes the Mid-autumn Festival which is usually in September or October. It's the day when the moon is brighter and rounder than any other time in the whole year. On that day, people often play firecrackers, have mooncakes and of course, watch the fullmoon which also means family getting together.
My favourite one is the Mid-autumn. The fullmoon is just so beautiful and amazing. Plus,I can never get enough those delicious mooncakes. Ha ha.
There are still plenty festivals of China, we will talk about them later. I'm sure you will love them.
