she comments much on the complexities of the human condition. Jane also has
a deeply pious personal trust in God, but is also highly self-reliant. Although
Jane suffers much, she is never portrayed as a damsel in distress who needs
rescuing. For this reason, it is sometimes regarded as an important early
feminist (or proto-feminist) novel.
Pride and Prejudice,first published on 28 January 1813 ,is the most famous of Jane Austen's novels and one of the first "romantic comedies"in the history of the novel. The book is Jane Austen's second publishes novel.Its manuscript was initially weitten between 1796 and 1797 in Steventon,Hampshire, where Austen lived in the tectory.
